Cumbria Quarrying Services ltd has a wealth of experience within the quarrying industry and the supplying/manufacturing of architectural stone. Currently operating in 5 different quarries in the North of England, including red sandstone from Bowscar. With a combined experience in the stone Industry of over 75 years within our ranks, we are market leaders in the natural stone industry and remain committed to being an independent, family run business Providing high quality masonry stone and walling stone across the country.
History
Bowscar Quarry was originally over taken by Alan and Sharon Hamilton in 2005, where Alan started to re-quarry; as at the point before it was standing still. From then on the business has carried to grow.
The Quarry is believed to have been worked for decades, over the years the Quarry has grown. Bowscar Red sandstone taken from the quarry has been quarried for years and continues to be to this day. We understand that the stone has been used around penrith and surrounding areas for centuries.
STATE OF THE ART
We process all our stone through the factory using state of the art machinery. We believe in quality product and this means using the latest technology. The machines allow complicated masonry to be done at ease, with lack of labour and minimising health and safety risks. By doing all this we are able to provide competitive and aesthetically pleasing product to all industries.
